Halloween Candy Coffin

I saw a video online where they made a candy holder in the shape of a coffin. It seemed like a nice Halloween project. πŸ™‚

2nd End-Grain Cutting Board

After my first cutting board turned out so well I had a request to make a second one. I used Purpleheart and Hard Maple again, but I changed back to the original design I found on this site:

I also decided to change the round over used on the sides. Instead of 1/4″ round over, I went with 1/2″ on top, and 1/4″ on the bottom.

Weighted Mallet

After I finished my cutting board I was looking for something simple to build. I had some purple heart and hard maple left over, so I decided to build a weighted mallet. Sure, I have a dead blow mallet already, but one out of wood seems more wood-worky to me. πŸ™‚
